Victory Park is in the Dorogomilovo district in Poklonnaya Hill. It’s one of the most important parks in Moscow and was built to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War II. The main building in the square is home to the Moscow Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War Victory 1941-1945. Victory Park and Victory Square are a part of the open air museum which has a military engineering exhibition and large monuments, like the statue of St. George slaying the dragon.
The park, which is considered as Moscow’s Love Park, extends along an incredible area full of fountains and colourful plants. The whole of the square that surrounds the museum building has long stone ledges which are quite low, various sets of stairs, banks, low to high ledges and a perfect floor. It is visited by many skaters form all over the world and is included in tours by the best brands. It has also been host to competitions like the Moscow Skate Tour 2011, with prefabricated modules made for the occasion. In the whole of Poklonnaya Hill Park you can find skateable ledges which can also be used as manual pads. It’s a good place to make long rounds.
